Four are first to complete new Commercial Real Estate Certificate ...

Four individuals who work in the real estate field recently were the first to complete a new, 18-month Professional Certificate in Commercial Real Estate now offered by the Shenehon Center for Real Estate at the University of St.Thomas? Opus College of Business.

Members of the inaugural class are:

  • Sherry Hottinger, supervisor of mortgage loan administration at Thrivent Financial, Minneapolis.
  • Larry Reger, sales broker at Coldwell Banker Burnet, Wayzata.
  • Lisa Sigman, senior commercial loan closer, Thrivent Financial, Minneapolis.
  • Melanie Walsh, residential appraiser, Walsh Appraials LLC, Minneapolis.

The nondegree certificate program is designed for professionals who work within the commercial real estate industry as well as for those making a transition into it.

The program covers valuation, urban land economics and market analysis, commercial real estate finance, investment and income analysis, asset management and the legal aspects of real estate and government controls.
