Apple's Siri to 'add international location services'

Apple's Siri is to feature international location services with iOS 6, new reports suggest.

iPhone 4S users in North America have been able to use the voice navigation system to access a range of information on local services, a feature that is inaccessible in overseas territories.

However, reports from users in the UK and Australia, who have access to the beta version of iOS 6, suggest that Siri will add location services in these countries.

Cult of Mac later backed up the claims, stating that the feature will be available to UK users, while expressing concerns over its accuracy.

Apple unveiled iOS 6 during its Worldwide Developers Conference earlier this week, where it was confirmed that Siri will be optimised for 15 countries and introduced to third-generation iPads.

iOS 6 will be released in the autumn.
