I am continuing to recieve tremendous photos from Idyllwild after asking readers to submit images of people having fun at Halloween. The latest batch are from Rebecca Frazier and John Drake of FrazierDrake photography in Idyllwild. You can check out lots of their work and find contact information on their www.facebook.com/MyIdyllwild page.
The parade starts pretty much spontaneously on Halloween at 4 p.m. on North Circle Drive near Cafe Aroma. Adults, kids and even dogs in impressively creative costumes parade down the street, collect treats from merchants and finish at a carnival that raised money for programs at Idyllwild School. There?s a merry prankster vibe and cute-kid fun all at the same time.
It?s an only-in-Idyllwild sort of event.
The partying goes on at night around the San Jacinto Mountains, art-and-nature oriented village, especially at Cafe Aroma.
The combination of great-afternoon light, amazing costumes, a high regard for children?s Halloween fun and mountain dwellers? eyes for composition produced great pictures.
A collection of images by Rebecca Frazier and John Drake follow.
